💚 My Favorite Healthy Podcast Episodes of 2024!
Perfect for the holiday season - sit back, relax and learn something new.
Hi friends,
It’s been a minute since I’ve sent anything out! Was busy with a new job and I’m actually getting my license in Holistic Nutrition, so I haven’t had as much time to write, but hoping to change that in the new year!
I hope you’re able to take some much deserved time off and reflect on what you’ve learned about yourself, your health, and what you want in the year ahead. With that, I thought I’d reflect on some of my favorite podcast episodes over the last year that have really stuck with me, and changed me for the better. I listen to a new podcast episode almost daily, so I had to be really strict with myself on this list, and tried to keep them differentiated in terms of topics, so I hope you learn something that you’ll take with you into the new year.
First up is someone you’ve probably heard and seen all over, which is Dr. Casey Means, who has been doing the rounds promoting her book, “Good Energy”, which was also my favorite book of the year that I would highly recommend if you haven’t checked it out yet. This was the first podcast I discovered her on and she really motivated me to dig deeper into the findings she lays out in her book so beautifully, which I would also recommend for a holiday read.
Next up is another favorite podcast of mine where I learn a wealth of information in so many different areas of life, which is Huberman Lab. There were so many great episodes this year, but the one I think this group would learn a lot from is the episode with Dr. Stacy Smith, Ph.D., an exercise Physiologist, Nutrition Scientist, and expert in female-specific nutrition and training for health, performance, and longevity. They discuss which exercise and nutrition protocols are ideal for women based on their age and particular goals. It’s very in-depth, so give yourself a few days to finish this one!
My 3rd favorite in terms of something that has stuck with me is an episode of Superlife with Darin Olien and his discussion with Hagen Theirs where they discuss EMFs (electromagentic fields aka what’s emitted from all of our devices). I will admit, this one is overwhelming in terms of how much exposure we are constantly being exposed to, but I think even if you don’t necessarily want to make changes in your daily life when it comes to your phones, computers etc., it’s good for us to be aware of it and make some simple changes where we can like putting your phone on airplane mode in the evening or things like keeping your phone away from your body or laptop on your lap.

My last recommendation is one I just listened to with Oprah and Mel Robbins, who has a great approach to breaking things down simply in terms or goals, motivation, and empowering you to create a better life. Their conversation is surrounding her most recent book, “The Let Them Theory”, which I haven’t read yet, but am intrigued after listening to the episode. I think everyone can get some great nuggets from their conversation, so I hope you give it a listen.

Thank you for being her this year and supporting my page! I really enjoy connecting with everyone and am looking to spreading more health tips, recipes, and exciting news next year. I hope you get the rest you deserve right now and start 2025 strong!
Cheers,
